Gates Of Hades/Hand Of God...?

So, I had my first-ever iDose experience today... at work. I'd heard about iDosing before, but I thought it was sort of crap... I don't know why -- I hadn't thought about it in a long time... a year, easy -- but I got the urge to try it out today.

After reading up about which were the best ones to start with, I decided to try Hand Of God and Gates Of Hades. Figured that I might as well swing for the fences.

Gates of Hades came up first - I figured if it was really bad then I could use Hand of God to straighten myself out. I made it through about 4 minutes or so of it, just when the crazy sounding shit kicked in, and decided to not bother.

And that's when I went to Hand of God.

At Work.

Now the first 15 minutes really didn't do much for me -- it was a quiet day at work, but as I listened to the track, I realized I could hear all the tiniest sounds in the room around me in spite of the humming in my ears. I was about to give up when I decided to cover my eyes with my hand and try to focus on the darkness. After about another 5 minutes, the darkness seemed to go... 3D. As if I was looking around inside a cave, even though my eyes were closed. I thought it was okay, but it didn't do much to me. Still, I kept going on, eyes shut, and the room got real silent around me.

Off in the distance, like looking through a pinhole camera, I saw ... not a light, more like a ghostly image against the dark. I tried to get close to it and it looked like it was an... ember. Something with a very, very low flame, almost dying, almost out.

I stood there staring at it, thinking 'uh, okay... sure' when I heard this calm voice inside my own head. It said: "This is your soul. It's almost out. You need to protect it, nurture it." And then, while I was still dumbfounded by this statement, I felt a cold gust of wind, as if someone was blowing on me from above. It blew on the ember and it burst into flame before me -- and, I shit you not, I felt this 'warmth' in my chest. I don't remember with clarity everything that happened next, I think I remember being handed a sword or something but I heard co-workers talking behind me and sort of snapped out of it at my desk... it went back to darkness... just black.

I sit here now, maybe 10 mins since it ended, my arms are freezing cold but my chest feels like it's really warm.

I can't wait to buy a good set of noise-cancelling headphones and try this at home.

Wow.
