Demerol = Smooth?

I've seen people describe the Demerol dose as "Smooth". Can someone elaborate on this description a little more in-depth?

They probably mean it like. It starts off then gently starts to get stronger. Rather than go from low quickly to high.

Yeah, like the lazy river at a water park, if you've ever been to one... if not then it means just a smooth slow ride that feels great.
